Having spent quite a bit of time investigating the numerous paid to surf companies now available this is my list of favourites for UK residents in order of priority. As previously stated their are many such companies not all are yet active. However I would suggest you at least sign up for my favourites below which can all be used in conjunction with each other. You can sign up for free and your not committed to using the service.
This company has been operating in the Uk since October 1999 , the pay rates have been reduced (1st June 2000) and are now 30p per hour for yourself 6p for your direct referals and 3p for your indirect referral's. Six levels of referrals and payment is made in sterling. This adbar appears at the bottom of your screen and looks like a banner ad. The disadvantages are that you only get paid for 27 hours surfing per month, you must match your referral's online time to get credited in full with their surfing time and you must be surfing on the internet to get paid. For instance you do not get paid if you are downloading or saving files, using your e-mail or using a search utility such as copernic. File size 1.6mb.

Has potentially 7 ways of getting income including paystart which pays you for having Paysu as your home page. The adbar works in the same way as all advantage. The pay rates have recently been dramatically reduced (1st August 2000). You now get 12p per hour for yourself, 6p for your direct referals and 3p for your indirect referals. Uniquely, Paysu also allows charities to sign up and benefit from earning an income. The major disadvantage compared with all advantage is that you only get paid for 10 hours of your referals surf time. However, you get paid for up to 40 hours surfing for yourself and you only have to be connected to the internet to be paid. It therefore pays to use this adbar if you are not actively surfing on the internet.

This is more than just a paid to surf programme. It pays the same as all advantage but for only 10 hours per month and has 6 referal levels. But the jotter task bar is also an excellent utility that improves the surfing experience. It fills out online forms for you, remembers id's and passwords, plays music, a ticker service offering sport news and stocks information. The thing I like about it is its reminder facilty. It will remind you of upcoming events and anniversaries, birthdays and I use it to remember what sites to visit when I go online. It also offers a search facility and comparison shopping.File size 1.5mb.

Get paid for having a screen saver showing adverts. This can therefore be used in conjunction with other companies.

8 Ciao.com (easy way to get paid for your opinions)
This is a very useful and enjoyable program that actually pays you to give your opinion on products, services and websites. In effect my website is basically a collection of opinions on various services and I frequently give feedback on websites in an effort to hopefully improve things in some small way. Unfortunately, I dont get paid for any of these. With Ciao I can put my opinions across and get paid a small amount of money at the same time. I wish I got paid everytime I was stopped in the street by a market researcher. The pay rates are :
